It is pretty fun, and very rewarding! Unfortunately this is not what the majority of my experiences are but I felt the need to share it because it was so cool. This person actually was the only native Spanish speaker that needed me to speak some Spanish to help him understand. I think it made him feel better knowing that I could understand what he was saying in the language he felt more comfortable with, and that I was making the effort to speak as much in Spanish as I could. The other kids that speak Spanish there are much younger (usually I help K-5) and can easily talk to their mom/dad in Spanish and then turn around and talk with me in English while I'm helping them.
